An excellent break. Loved the cottage! Seemed to fit in a great deal of sightseeing as well as wonderful meals. Would love to return..... Thank you Kate for your kind hospitality.

So lovely we stayed an extra day. Welcome pack and cake much appreciated. Visited some lovely villages. The Finches Arms definitely our favourite restaurant. Ospreys at Lyndon fascinating. Desperately needed this break and have not been disappointed. Italian restaurant at South Shore also very good. Will be sorry to go but will be back. To Exton now to get our bread before going home. Thanks for everything Kate.

Fantastic cottage - wonderful weather. The lemon drizzle cake the best we've tasted. Spent four days exploring the area. Barnsdale Gardens definitely worth a visit. Hope to return soon.

I wish we could have stayed a week!!! A thoroughly relaxing, cosy stay in a lovely cottage. We really felt at home, so much so we will have to come back to see more of the area - we didn't want to leave the cottage! A great venue for the vital viewing of the Royal Wedding as well. Thank you.

Awful weather - lovely cottage to escape from it. Exactly equidistant between Braintree and Sheffield and not too far for either of us. Had a very relaxing weekend and enjoyed the bits of the local area we were able to see in the mist. Thank you.

Whoever it was who once said "perfection can never be achieved" had never stayed in Manton Cottage! Here there is perfection with everything anyone could want provided in this exquisite, beautifully and tastefully decorated cottage. All the extra touches, e.g. the delicious cake and homemade bread were greatly appreciated. We have enjoyed our (regrettably far too short) stay enormously. Thank you for everything.

Delightful cottage and a great place to celebrate a special birthday. Thanks Kate for recommending the walk around Hambleton peninsula. The views and bluebell woods were spectacular. Our lemon drizzle cake was delicious. Loved Barnsdale Gardens and bought far too many plants.
