Welcome to Manton Cottage, a beautifully restored stone cottage in the heart of the small Rutland village of Manton on the southern shore of Rutland Water. It boasts 3 good-sized bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 people and a bright open-plan ground floor with under floor heating.

Restored in 2008 to a very high standard the cottage features solid oak staircase, doors and skirting and has been decorated using traditional Farrow and Ball paints. It has a contemporary feel yet still has the charm of an old cottage.

Your comfort is our main aim, so we have filled the cottage with books and games that can be enjoyed in front of the wood burner in the winter or on one of the two patios in the summer. There is also a DVD player and an iPod docking station so that you can enjoy your films and music.

It makes an ideal base to explore Rutland, England's smallest county and enjoy activities on and around Rutland Water, one of Europe's largest man-made reservoirs. It is also in walking distance (2 miles) of the British Bird Watching Fair and a 20-minute drive from the world famous Burghley Horse Trials. So whether you are searching for an activity packed break in Rutland or a leisurely weekend exploring the surrounding market towns then Manton Cottage is for you and your family.
